How to use the Wireless Charging Tile

Troubleshooting Tips

  • When the Charging Tile’s internal battery is low, the LED will flash white and red.
  • The Charging Tile’s battery contains enough energy to fully recharge your knife about 8-10x before it needs to be recharged. To recharge the Charging Tile, plug it into any USB-C power source. When charging, the LED will blink white. When charging is complete, the LED will remain on solid.
  • The knife and Charging Tile use the Qi protocol for wireless power transfer (just like your cell phone). It can take a few seconds for the two devices to connect and for charging to begin. The lights on the knife battery will illuminate to indicate charging has started after a few seconds. When the knife battery LEDs turn off, charging has stopped.
  • It’s normal for the knife to feel warm after it has been wirelessly charging. Wireless power transfer generates some heat, but the Charging Tile monitors temperature and will shut off automatically in the event of a problem.
  • If your Charging Tile is installed using the wall mounting kit, you can remove it by gripping the tile from the sides and lifting up, then out.
  • The knife battery must be inserted into the knife in order for it to charge. Please ensure the battery of your knife is firmly in place, and then try to place the knife on the charging tile.
